The Postal Service today filed its annual price increase with the Postal Regulatory Commission. While the first class stamp is to increase from 49 cents to 50 cents, most other rates will increase by about 1.9%, per the Consumer Price Index cap.
Among other postal products, Priority Mail is to rise by 3.9% and Priority Mail Retail will go up by an average of 0.8%.
The ACMA is reviewing the whole rate package and we’ll be back in touch next week with our analysis. In the meantime, you can access the complete filing by clicking here and the USPS’s press release here.
