The ACMA is working closely with the broader mailing industry group, the Coalition for a 21st Century Postal Service (C-21) to urge Congress to support The Postal Service Emergency Assistance Act (S. 4174) and have it included in the upcoming COVID-19 stimulus bill. This vital legislation will help the U.S. Postal Service recover from COVID-19 losses and set it up for long-term sustainability.

C-21 has designated this Wednesday, August 5, as “Postal Day.” It’s the day in which ACMA and other C-21 member organizations urge our respective members to use this quick and simple platform to ask your Members of Congress to support S. 4174.

Simple Steps to Take Action
As you’ll see when you click on this link, it’s all teed up for you – just spend a brief moment on Wednesday to make your voice heard. Or if you prefer, text “Mail” to 52886 to get to the very simple and quick process of sending the message to the Hill. Here are some other easy ways you can help:

  • Call your U.S. senators’ offices and tell the staff member that you’re urging the senator to support S. 4174.
  • Share on social media using the hashtag #KeepUSPSDelivering.
  • Click here for a Facebook post to share.
  • Forward this email to others.

S. 4174 would provide funds to keep USPS delivering through the pandemic and beyond. It would also direct a restructuring plan to ensure its financial stability in the long term.
