As you’ve no doubt heard, a government shutdown is expected this Sunday. This is obviously out of our control, and we have no option other than to cancel next week’s Fly-In. We recommend you cancel or gain credit for your trip with your air carrier and hotel.
Although many believe the shutdown won’t last very long, there are no certainties and plenty of moving parts. However, as the majority of our members approach the busiest season of the year, we will focus on setting up virtual meetings with Members of Congress – and you – once the wheels of government are turning once again.
We’ll keep you informed as this situation develops and work toward making the best out of the bad hand we’ve been dealt.
