We advocate for policy and legislation that benefits catalog and other remote merchants, their suppliers and customers.
About Us – The ACMA’s Mission
Founded in 2007, the ACMA (American Catalog Mailers Association) is the only industry association advocating specifically for catalog, online, direct mail, and other remote-selling merchants, as well as their suppliers. As the primary advocate and voice for the catalog/online/direct industry, we represent our members on issues that directly concern their immediate and long term commercial interests, namely..
- Postal rates, regulations and technical matters
- Tax laws and regulations
- Regulatory and congressional relations
- Environmental issues
- Innovative business oriented advances
- Essentially, all current or potential external threats to the catalog industry
The ACMA, a nonprofit organization organized under Section 501(c) (6) of the Internal Revenue Service code of 1986, is a cataloger-focused group. Membership is open to any party with significant interests in the catalog/online/direct industry, including catalog mailers, e-commerce merchants, direct mail merchants, printers, paper companies, consultants, list firms, database marketing and other service providers.
As needed, we work closely with other industry organizations and associations to advocate for our collective interests.
